Steve Ponting is an Award winning artist who has had 7 shows in the last year and has been published in local magazines. His art is in many private collections from California to Louisiana including many states in between, as well as a  14' x 7' mural in a post office building in Orange county. His baseball card pastel portraits have been personally signed by many greats including Mickey Mantle, Lou Brock, Steve Garvey and Mark Grace to name a few. He has sold his paintings on eBay and his prints are selling on Global networks. He has taught art classes to the parks and recreation departments in several cities helping institute a guest artist program. He is currently a board member of several art groups. He has 50+ paintings that are going on tour  in Sept  2011  starting in La Jolla, Ca. His next show is a two man show in August 2011 with the great artist Ramon Ramirez and he is currently arranging for the both of them to do live TV demonstrations.

Steve Ponting is also a 3rd degree black belt in the Yoshukai International Karate Association system. He has been teaching the art to over 300 children in the last 11 years and has established a senior citizen Tai-Chi program and children's self defense program through the local parks and recreation dept. He and his wife Maggie have  also set up a scholarship program for the local high school students that has been running for the last 6 years and has given away over $6000 to further the students education with the generous support of local businesses.

He is a proud father of three beautiful daughters ( Amber, Jennifer, and Jessica ) and one handsome son ( Joshua ) and two sons-in-laws ( Steve and Dave ) and one grandson-in-law Bill.  He and Maggie are the proud grandparents of  Danielle, Ashley, Mickey, Corey, Jordan and Dakota and the proud Great-grandparents of Zechariah.

Steve Ponting is a veteran of the Viet-Nam war (1968-69) proud to serve his country. He is also a writer of political chastising through song and verse which can be found on his lamentation page of his website. He loves to play electric guitar and use the machinery to its fullest which can be heard on his U-tube link on his website. He is a Roman Catholic and as such is a Eucharistic minister, Lector, usher and helps with feeding the poor and needy. He also mentored in a prison ministry at Lancaster Cal State Prison, Ca. for five years before the state discontinued the program
